Anatomy Session Inspires Future Medical Minds

At Saint George's, we are always keen to provide our students with enriching learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. On Wednesday, 5th February 2025, our Year 10 to 13 students had the fantastic opportunity to participate in an anatomy session delivered by Sam of Premed Anatomy, which proved to be an exceptional experience for all involved.

Science teachers Miss Fry and Miss O’Brien shared their reflections on the session, emphasising its engaging and immersive nature. From the outset, students were enthralled by real-life stories that brought anatomy to life in a truly memorable way. The expert-led session also provided invaluable guidance on embedding key terminology into memory, ensuring that students could effectively retain and apply their newly acquired knowledge. Strong links to the curriculum further reinforced their understanding, making this an exceptionally meaningful learning experience.

Throughout the day, our students exhibited exemplary behaviour, demonstrating a high level of enthusiasm and respect for the learning process. Their engagement and dedication were a true credit to the school, reflecting their commitment to academic excellence and curiosity for the medical sciences.

We also received feedback from Esther in Year 12 and Theo in Year 10, who found the experience unique and enriching and highly recommended it to others.

We are incredibly proud of our students for making the most of this opportunity and grateful to the organisers for delivering such an insightful and inspiring session. Experiences like these enhance academic learning and ignite passion and curiosity, paving the way for future aspirations in the medical field and beyond.

We look forward to providing more of these engaging opportunities for our students in the future!
