Enrolments
No conditional offer can be accepted without completing our enrolment process after publishing GCSE Results. Our enrolment takes place on Thursday 21st of August 2025.
All students must have met our entry requirement to secure a place in our sixth form.
Entry requirement criteria can be found on Kent Choices on individual subject pages. As well as achieving individual subject entry requirements, students must have 5 grade 5s at GCSE.
Students must also select three subjects from our option blocks (one per block). Option blocks will be published in April once we have written our curriculum based on the applications we receive.
Current Saint George's Students:
Current Saint George’s Year 11 students can collect their GCSE results from the sixth form study centre on Thursday 21st August between 9am – 10.30am. Current students who wish to join our sixth form team will also be able to enrol with a member of the sixth form team and take up a confirmed place upon collecting their GCSE results. Information on how to complete the process will be included in your results' envelope. To enrol in the sixth form, students must meet the entry requirements for an individual subject and have achieved at least five Grade 5s (or Merit) at GCSE or Level 2.
Please note that to join our sixth form, students must complete the in-person enrolment process for a place to be confirmed. A conditional offer does not guarantee a place in the sixth form if enrolment has not occurred. If a student is unable to attend the sixth form enrolment in person, please contact the sixth form team (sixthform@saintgeorgescofe.kent.sch.uk) by 20th July 2025, so that we can have a plan in place for enrolment.
External Students:
Our enrolment process for students who did not study at Saint George’s in Year 11 will take place in person on Thursday 21st August between midday to 2pm. This enrolment session is for any students who made an application to Saint George’s and have met the entry requirements for an individual subject and achieved at least five Grade 5s (or Merit) at GCSE or Level 2.
Please arrive at school via Meadow Road and make your way to the sixth-form study centre. You will need a copy of your results, photo ID and proof of address to enrol.
Appeals
If 120 or more students from within Saint George's School meet the admissions criteria and wish to enter year 12 of the Sixth Form, no external applicants will be considered. For information on our Oversubscription criteria, please read our admissions policy.
Appealing for a place at Saint George’s sixth form differs from years seven to eleven. Any student over the age of 16 has the right of appeal, as do parents. Appeals can be for both internal and external candidates. Admission to the sixth form is administered by Saint George’s. All appeals take place in September after GCSE results are known. If you are not offered a place, you can appeal under section 94 of the School Standards & Framework Act 1998.
In-year Admissions
We do not accept in-year admissions, and students can only enrol in our sixth form at the start of each academic year.
